This painting depicts the 26 foot tall sculpture by Seward Johnson that graces the entrance to the Palm Springs Museum of Art, in Palm Springs, CA. The painting features her famous scene above the subway grates from the movie "Some Like it Hot". I love the painting because it shows how Marilyn was truly larger than life, a true American icon.
