Motel Pool
"Motel Pool" is a 48" x 48" original acrylic on canvas featuring the historic ruin of the old Whiting Brothers Motel sign in Yucca. AZ. The Whiting Brothers owned numerous motels and gas stations including this one on Route 66. The dilapidated sign still stands as a metaphor for all of the businesses along Route 66 that slowly died when the I-40 was built. I had a blast working this piece, and am very pleased with the final result. The original is currently available for purchase, and there will be a limited edition of 100 giclee prints on gallery wrapped canvas in various sizes available as well. Custom sizes will be available upon request.
